	This BOOK VENTURES WAY BEYOND simple suggestion for pain. It encompasses the ENTIRE psychology of pain, which includes somatic, neuropathic and procedural pain. 	This is a CLASSIC WORK. - HYPNOSIS AND SUGGESTIBILITY !!! First printed in 1933, the book - Hypnosis And Suggestibility: An Experimental Approach by Clark L. Hull (1884-1952) describes the rigorous scientific experimental methods which helped establish the behavioral view of hypnosis as an exact science. It is FINALLY back in print. But not for long. I heard there were only a limited amount of copies on this run. It may NEVER BE PRINTED AGAIN. 	Long Out of Print, but if you can find a dog-eared copy on some dusty booksellor's book shelf in rural Vermont or Colorado, snap it up. Actually, I found mine in just that way - Rutland, VT, on a leaf-peaping, fall car ride. This is one of the BIG HYPNOSIS books that kept my interest throughout. It is a shame that these powerful, hypnosis and change-work classics have not been reprinted. A good read.
	A GOOD, STOCKING STUFFER FOR YOUR RELATIVES WHO WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT HYPNOSIS .. BUT JUST NOT THAT MUCH !!!! This is one of those great, fun books that explain things in a very simple way and is something every hypnotist might want as a stocking stuffer, to give to parents and friends who still think a hypnotist is a one-eyed, necromancer! :) *Buy a half dozen copies and give them out. I do.* This, like Josie Hadley's books listed here and Roberta Themes 'Idiots' guide (also above) .. are great to give to family members to let them know WHY YOU ARE SO EXCITED ABOUT HYPNOSIS !
	ONE OF THOSE BOOKS FROM MY PAST .... This is not a great book .. but one of the early books I read ... mainly because it was one of the only books of a scholarly intent I could find. I list this for purely sentimental reasons. It sits on my shelf along side of the classics. Harry Arons was a well established hypnotist in his own right. But for you hypnosis and change-work buffs. You know who you are. This is a must have.
	WHAT DID FREUD THINK ABOUT HYPNOSIS ? You'll be surprised just how much Freud highly regarded hypnosis and how his later papers expressed regret over not utilizing the state more in his work ... If you end up doing a lot of talk and radio shows like I do .. you best be armed with some historical data. This book will give you the 'cojones' to shed a new light on Freud and his 'true beliefs' about hypnosis. I guarantee, your opponent won't have a clue this information is available. I think this is out of print too. But keep searching Amazon. Used volumes show up occasionally on Amazon and ebay. Best bet is the big, used book warehouses, like Kingman's in Arizona - the Walmart of Used books.
	STAGE FRIGHT ... PERFORMANCE ANXIETY ... THE JITTERS ! A few of my many, famous Broadway actors and well established screen actors, gave this CD set a showcase and enjoyed it. After that, they came in to see me and we did the really powerful work. But, if you can't get into our office, this is one of the first steps you can take to move along the path and get rid of some of those pre-interview or stage jitters. Try it out. Be sure to write me how this set worked out for you.
	ANOTHER GENIUS WHO WILL BE RECOGNIZED FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS YEARS FROM NOW !!! Why do we only recognize greatness when that person has gone into the great beyond? Wouldn't it be nice to benefit forest them when they were here? Instead they seem to live the worst of lives .. struggling ... penniless .. and when they're gone ... oh well ..... The author of this book is one of those genius's .. still undiscovered by the hypnosis profession. Rumor has it, L. Ron Hubbard took a lot of principles of Regression hypnosis from Watkin's early resource books and used the ideas to formulate some of the principles of Scientology. I don't know if this is proven fact or not, but the explanation of 'clear' and after reading Dianetics ... well ... if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and swims like a duck ... maybe it IS A DUCK ! Watkin's books have influenced my work. Especially regression hypnosis as taught to the American medics by the British as a way of relieving war trauma.
	THIS ONE IS HERE .. JUST FOR HISTORIC NOTE !!! I am saving you a great deal of time by outlining the most time proven, results-orientated work, in a sea of thousands of mind-numbing publications, journal and CDs that befuddle the mind and would bore a peanut out of its shell. Another one of my first, serious hypnosis books. It goes in and out of print and is always on some dusty table at a flea market. Not the greatest, but at the time, one of the few things commercially available.
	A SIMPLE BOOK .. AND THAT'S WHAT WE WANT .. DON'T WE .. SIMPLE SOLUTIONS THAT DON'T TAKE MUCH EFFORT !!! I love the author - Josie Hadley's - simple writing style and focus on results. One of those rare, commercial hypnosis, self-help books that has legs under it. The book has 'juice.' Good information and a clear and focused writing style.
	IF I WAS UNDERGOING SURGERY TOMORROW .. THESE WORDS WOULD DEFINITELY BE POURING OUT OF MY CD PLAYER SPEAKERS !!! I'm going to tout this. I did a lot of work with surgeon's in Lady Lake, Florida with pre-surgery clients and had amazing results and phenomenally fast recoveries from using post suggestions before surgery and hypnotic CDs during surgery. I do not have the 'master CD copies' of the research CDswhich were effective. They were left down in Florida embroiled in a legal battle when I left that clinic. But no one could discount the extent of their effectiveness. Miss Hadley is a very credible hypnotist author and I would seriously give this CD a tumble if I was heading into surgery any time in the future. Maybe I will enter a recording studio again and run off a serious of commercial hypnosis CDs that will available to the general public, based on the research we did with vein patients in Florida.
	A GOOD 'LISTEN-ABLE' LISTEN !!! What I mean ... this will keep you interested ... and awake .. instead of asleep and comatose !!! I like this audio cassette by David Caloff. He worked with Richard Bandler. Very listenable. A great program. IF you're too lazy to read at times, grab this one. You can play it on your way to work or as you're drifting off into nether-land at night.
	SHOULD MUSIC BE PLAYED IN HYPNOSIS SESSIONS ?? There is a constant debate amongst hypnotists on the web over whether music should played during a session. The wrong music might inhibit a client from entering into the trance stage because you find that A/C D/C CD of yours hypnotic :) . I agree, there are only one or two pieces of music out of thousands I have found appropriate for hypnosis sessions that do NOT OFFEND ANY CLIENT or HINDER THEIR ABILITY to go into TRANCE. We have licensed these 'works' and they are ONLY AVAILABLE to hypnosis students who have taken our Professional Hypnosis Training. But this piece might serve you well. Check with your client first, by playing a 30 second clip. If they say it makes their teeth chatter ... yank it out ... and use the best music available to that client.... it will probably be .. ABSOLUTE SILENCE ! :)
	SOME PEOPLE RAVE ABOUT THIS WORKBOOK.. !!! ME ... I DON'T EVEN OWN A COPY YET !!! All I will say .. is some of my students love this little workbook. I haven't used it. I'll certainly give them the benefit of the doubt .. after all .. they took my class.
	FOR THOSE WHO HAVE TO 'HAVE THE BEST'. AND SPEND THE MOST THIS FULFILLS BOTH AREAS !!! This is a professional (but easily readable) monography. It is very comprehensive and can be used as both a textbook and a handbook. The author is a well-known expert on the subject and he conveys his knowledge to the reader. Among the many books available, this one is the likeliest to be "the only one you must have if you can afford only one".
	AND NOW .. FOR A LITTLE HISTORY LESSON !! It's nice to know the pioneers .. what was going through their mind .. their own lives .. background ... the trials and tribulations they had to over come ... and for the hypnosis profession .... here it is ! If you are in the profession, many many thousands of times, people are going to ask you about hypnosis. This text will lead you through the minds of the mind researchers...how hypnotism reached its present status of acceptance, through two centuries of pioneering effort by several powerful, interesting and fascinating personalities who thought OUTSIDE THE BOX. GET THIS NOW ! You need at least ONE FULLY DETAILED HISTORY BOOK ON THE SHELF detailing in it's entirety ... Hypnosis as we presently know it.

Isn't that the kind of book that belongs in your library. One of the INSTANT ERICKSONIAN CLASSICs. A must on your insightful journey into the hinderlands of the mind.
	ONE OF RICHARD BANDLER'S CLASSICS !!! Richard Bandler 'modeled' the world's great therapists .. to find what they did with patients to achieve success where others failed. Amazingly, these therapists did not even know themselves whey they were so effective. Bandler studied their movements, their interactions, their words, their speech patterns .. every little movement .. interaction ...preposition ... and it formed the basis of NLP. This is Richard Bandler's study of Milton Erickson, a pioneering hypnotist. and a very useful book. Within the pages are the major linguistic techniques that Erickson used to induce and maintain hypnosis. The authors attempt to demonstrate how Erickson took his knowledge and linguistic skills to manipulate the language in a way that clients miraculously achieved results in their lives. There is much more than I can possibly say in a few paragraphs .. but that is NLP and Ericksonian Hypnosis ... an unending 'grab-bag' of techniques.
	EVERY HYPNOTIST SHOULD HAVE A VARIETY OF 'SCRIPT-BOOKS' .. to give you ideas and get the mind percolating EFFECTIVE SUGGESTIONS to use for your client ... and for that .. you need to build your library. This is an interesting assortment of pretty decent inductions, emerging scripts and scripts for dealing with assortment of situations a hypnotherapist may encounter in his practice. There aren't too many decent books on the market devoted to good scripts ... and a lot of rubbish ... and each script should only be read .. taking in account the client's desires, goals and outcomes. Simpler to understand ... I actually enjoyed this book. The first volume I use for a doorstop!

This is the BIG BOOK on NLP and as far as I'm concerned, the authors have outdone themselves.

This is far better than Volume I of the same name.

The authors have come up with better teaching analagies ...

These two volumes are the size of rather large dictionaries, but when you need information ...you wll be glad it is at your fingertips.
